It is so hard to find a makeup remover at the store that isn't full of toxic junk. Removing eye makeup is so easy with this natural + chemical-free recipe!
I usually use my Glow: Radiant Facial Elixir to clean my face and remove makeup , but I wanted to make something that was easier to travel with. Once you mix this up, it's all ready to go and you can just through it in an overnight bag.
You will need:
- A small glass jar
- Reusable facial rounds (I got mine from my friend over at Cheeks Ahoy)
- 2 tablespoon fractionated coconut oil (or jojoba oil if you prefer)
- 2 tablespoon alcohol-free witch hazel (I use Thayer's lavender witch hazel)
- 1- 2 drops each: Young Living lavender + geranium essential oil
- 2 tablespoon filtered water
In the glass jar, combine the coconut oil, witch hazel, essential oils & water. Put the lid on & shake well to combine. Yes yes, I know that oil and water don't mix ! But: witch hazel works as an emulsifier, meaning it allows the liquids to mix together smoothly.
Open the lid back up and add the cloth wipes. I am usually able to fit 10-12 in this small glass jar (it's impressive how many you can squeeze in there)!
The coconut oil (or your choice of carrier oil) is what removes makeup so easily.
