Healthy baked almond flour chicken fingers with hot honey dipping sauce. These chicken tenders are crispy and delicious - no deep frying or breading required. Dip them in hot honey dipping sauce or add to a caesar salad for a delicious weeknight dinner that is ready in 30 minutes.

Who doesn’t love chicken fingers? This is another comfort food that I always enjoyed growing up.. what kid doesn't love chicken fingers?! My Mom used to always make a dish she called “almond chicken” that was very similar to this, but included cheese and almond slices… baked in the oven. So good!
These almond flour chicken fingers could not be easier to make. They are one of the simplest healthy dinner options out there, and such a great meal to add into your weekly rotation. You can enjoy them with my hot honey dipping sauce, or on top of a juicy caesar salad. Not only is it super quick and easy, but it always hits the spot, and kids love this recipe!

Turmeric & Black Pepper
This recipe includes a nice dose of anti-inflammatory turmeric and black pepper. Turmeric contains a constituent called curcumin, which is largely responsible for the anti-inflammatory effects of turmeric. However, it's not very bioavailable (aka easy for the body to absorb and use). One way to increase and unlock the bioavailability of turmeric is to consume it along side black pepper. In fact, black pepper has been shown to increases the bio-availability of the curcumin by up to 2,000% ! Any time I cook with turmeric, I include black pepper to ensure maximum health benefits from this tasty duo!
Health Benefits of Curcumin
- Curcumin is one of the most effective anti-inflammatories in the world (1)
- May promote resilience to stress & anxiety in social situations (2)
- Due it’s anti-inflammatory properties, curcumin promotes healthy, glowing skin (3, 4)
- Has anti-depressant properties (2)
- Has neuro-protective properties that could help promote memory and attention (5)
- May have anti-cancer effects (6)
- Has powerful anti-oxidant properties (7)

Hot Honey Dipping Sauce
This hot honey dipping sauce truly takes this recipe to the next level. It's totally optional, but I highly recommend trying it with these almond flour chicken fingers. If you have leftover dipping sauce, you can also use it on chicken wings, on pizza, or as part of your next charcuterie board.
Ingredients for Hot Honey Dipping Sauce
- ½ cup honey
- juice from ½ lemon
- ½ tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 2 tsp fresh grated ginger or ½ teaspoon ginger powder
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- ¼ tsp cayenne powder
Instructions:
In a small pot on low heat, warm the honey and add the apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, ginger, turmeric, chili flakes, and cayenne powder.
How to Prepare Almond Flour Chicken Fingers
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the egg and avocado oil. Add the chicken strips to the egg mixture.
- In a shallow bowl, mix the almond flour, turmeric, paprika, salt and pepper.
- Using a fork, take the chicken strips from the egg mixture and dip into the almond flour “breading”. I do this one by one, to make sure each chicken strip gets evenly and thoroughly coated.
- Place the chicken onto the lined baking sheet, and bake at 350ºF for 30 minutes. Alternatively, you can cook these chicken fingers in a cast iron pan with some olive oil or avocado oil. If cooking in a pan on the stove top, they will need to cook for 5 minutes on each side.

Chicken Caesar Salad
To make these almond flour chicken fingers into a delicious chicken caesar salad, all you will need to do is make a batch of my Healthy Caesar Salad Dressing. Serve on top of fresh romaine lettuce or kale, sliced red onion, and avocado.
This is one of our favourite summer meals for those 30ºC hot and humid days. It's refreshing, light and yummy when you just feel too hot to eat a huge dinner. You could also serve this with a side of sweet potato fries or brown rice to make this into a larger meal.
