Support for Every System In The Body

Essential oils have the power to support and balance our endocrine, circulatory, respiratory, digestive, nervous, and reproductive systems. When we use essential oils consistently, we can work on promoting wellness rather than just managing sickness - all while avoiding the nasty side effects of synthetic drugs.

In this post you will find recipes for 5 of my favourite roller bottle blends to help with headache relief, respiratory support, sleep, emotional support, and healthy skin!

    Blending Essential Oils

The blends in this post are based on a 10 ml roller bottle. The best way to blend oils is to fill the roller bottle ½ way with fractionated coconut oil (or your choice of carrier oil - sweet almond oil is also nice). Then add the essential oils. After the essential oils are added, fill the remaining space with your carrier oil, and shake to blend. Simple as that!

5 Essential Oil Blends I Can't Live Without + How To Make Them! Including rollers for headache relief, respiratory support, sleep, healthy skin & emotional support.

    1. Headache Melt

This is a blend I NEVER leave behind. Young Living lavender and marjoram are both classified as natural health products in Canada to help relieve headaches. Peppermint is very cooling on the skin, and copaiba helps magnify the effects of the other oils in this blend. Helichrysum can act as a nervine and calmative which enhances relaxation.

    Headache Melt:
    + 15 drops peppermint
    + 15 drops lavender
    + 10 drops marjoram
    + 2 drops copaiba
    + 2 drops helichrysum

    2. Breathe Blend

This is great year round - for coughs and colds in the winter, and seasonal congestion in spring and fall. You will never find me without my breathe roll-on! This blend converted me into an essential oil-lover last year, and I can't imagine what I would do without it! Today I am home from work with a cold, and I have been rolling this on my chest, neck, and wrists all day long! It works wonders.

    Breathe Blend
    + 15 drops eucalyptus
    + 10 drops peppermint
    + 5 drops myrtle
    + 3 drops lemon
    + 5 drops laurus nobilis

    3. Liquid Sleep

This blend is truly well named. Vetiver adds deep, woodsy notes to this calming and grounding blend. Lavender and cedarwood are both very well known for their calming properties – both act as a nervine and calmative on there nervous system. Frankincense is commonly used in meditation and yoga practices and is very soothing + grounding. Vetiver is a good oil to help balance the root chakra. Roll this blend on your chest, wrists, neck and feet before bed for a good night’s sleep!

    Liquid Sleep
    + 2 drops vetiver
    + 15 drops lavender
    + 10 drops cedarwood
    + 5 drops frankincense

    4. Skin Soothe

Witch hazel has always been a staple in our home. This skin soothe blend takes witch hazel, and makes it even more soothing to the skin with a blend of the best essential oils for healing any skin discomforts! Works great as a facial toner.

    Skin Soothe
    + 10 drops lavender
    + 5 drops frankincense
    + 5 drops tea tree
    + 3 drops copaiba

    5. Ultimate Calm

Sometimes we all need a deep breath to keep calm and centre your emotions in the midst of a tough day. This blend contains some of my favourite emotional support oils, for the ultimate calming experience! Whether you need a boost of bravery, or a mini vacation in a bottle - this blend is for you. Valor contains blue tansy, which provides amazing support during difficult or emotional times. Stress away is an uplifting blend of pure essential oils including vanilla, lime, cedarwood and lavender. Frankincense acts as a nervine and calmative which enhances relaxation. Wear it on your wrists and over your heart on days when you need a little extra emotional support.

    Ultimate Calm
    + 10 drops valor
    + 10 drops stress away
    + 10 drops frankincense

    More essential oils information

Did you know that the quality of essential oils is actually something that is quite important? The vast majority of essential oils on the market are extracted using high heat, high pressure, and chemical solvents. When you purchase a cheap essential oil, you cannot expect to get therapeutic results. These oils are often diluted (with a carrier oil or alcohol) and will contain toxic synthetic chemicals that have been used in their extraction process.

I have one question I would love to use the liquid sleep in my diffuser but you did not mention if it can go in a diffuser. I love your recipes...your liquid sleep is super I haven’t slept like that in months! Thank You so much!

Hello! Thank you so much! It really does work well, doesn't it? You can absolutely put these essential oils in the diffuser, of course just leave out the carrier oil. If I were to put this in a diffuser, I would just put 1-2 drops of each essential oil 🙂

Great pin. Another way to use this in the diffuser is to make a synergy in a dark glass bottle with a dropper and use 6-8 drops or whatever you are comfortable with.

Yes! I use liquid coconut oil, but sweet almond oil also works well as a carrier, or grapeseed oil if you prefer.
