5 DIY Essential Oil Room Sprays + How to Make them! Making essential oil room sprays is so easy, and much more effective than conventional air fresheners, which are filled with toxic & synthetic ingredients. These chemicals can actually be very damaging to your respiratory system, and wreak havoc on the endocrine system as well.

The great thing about using essential oils as a natural air freshener, is that not only do they make your home smell wonderful, but they also have added health benefits. Aromatherapy can support your physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Inhaling essential oils is one of easiest ways to access the power of aromatherapy!
You will need:
- 100 ml glass bottle
- witch hazel (or vodka)
- water
- your choice of essential oils
Fill your glass spray bottle about half way with witch hazel. Witch hazel acts as an emulsifier to help the essential oils and water mix. If you don't have witch hazel, vodka will also work as an emulsifier. Then add your essential oils and gently shake the bottle to blend. Fill to the top with water. Be sure to shake the bottle before each use - to ensure that everything is well blended.

Deodorizing Air Freshener:
- 10 drops purification
- 10 drops orange
- 5 drops lemon
This is a great room spray to keep in the bathroom, or even in your car to freshen things up! The great thing about essential oils is that they don't just cover up the smell like conventional air fresheners do. They actually purify the air and can help boost your immune system too!
Sweet Dreams Linen Spray
- 10 drops lavender
- 10 drops cedarwood

Keep this one on your bedside table, and spray on your pillow and sheets before bed. You'll have the best sleep ever - Cedarwood helps to stimulate the pineal gland, which releases melatonin. Cedarwood and lavender can be used topically or inhaled to act as a nerve and calmative, which enhances relaxation.
Zen Yoga Blend

Spray this blend on your yoga mat before your practice - this grounding blend is totally zen! You can also use this to clean your mat after your practice (especially good for after a hot yoga class)!
Spa Steam Room

- 5 drops grapefruit
- 5 drops orange
Feeling a little congested? This blend will make you feel like you're in a steam room at the spa! Spray in the bathroom before having a hot shower, and you'll feel like you're in a steam room. Eucalyptus is well known for helping to reduce the symptoms of a cold and cough.

This is my go-to energy boosting blend, to cure an afternoon slump! All of the citrus oils are all very uplifting and energizing. Peppermint also helps calm the nerves, and reduces stress.
