I know that some of you don’t like eating your greens… but dear friend I promise you: when you blend up a smoothie as delicious as this, with sweet fruits AND veggies, you’ll be coming back for more! This is so delicious, and makes a filling breakfast as well!
Most people don’t come close to getting enough greens in their diet, and this is such an easy way to incorporate more fresh fruit + veg into your day. Packed with fiber and fresh ginger root, this smoothie is going to be great for your digestive system, and very alkalizing.
Mango Turmeric Green Smoothie
Packed with fiber and fresh ginger root, this smoothie is going to be great for your digestive system!
Ingredients
- 1 banana
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 mango
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 2 cups spinach
- organic turmeric powder
- 1 inch ginger root
Optional:
- ice cubes for a cooler, refreshing smoothie
- bee pollen for topping
Directions
- adding the spinach first means that it will have the most time to break down, and become easier to digest. Fruit is composed of sugar and water, and therefore digests very easily. It can be added last!
For the smoothest blend, I like to add my greens and almond milk to the blender first. Start on the lowest speed, gradually increasing until the spinach is nicely blended in. Add the rest of the fruit + other ingredients. Blend until smooth, and top with bee pollen. Enjoy!
